Product Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity to be the #2 person and play a key role in building the Product function for a fast-growing technology company. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to support the organization, but will interface with Product, Data Science/Engineering, and Business Development primarily. This role will report directly to the VP of Product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner on user research across a variety of buyer and user personas within the biopharma industry; eventually acting autonomously to conduct and synthesize user research

  • Support and interface with clients on a variety of co-development initiatives

  • Create communication materials and content for business audiences to support iterative product development: Drive development of collateral for sales presentations, leverage existing content to improve and optimize corporate website, and lead competitive intelligence initiatives

  • Convert user research into lo-fi mock-ups and wireframes describing prospective front-end experiences

  • Develop detailed requirements to support development

  • Manage Agile sprint process from soup to nuts and start to finish

  • Manage effective processes and metrics for measuring product development 

  • Identify and assist with integrating new data sources/elements for analytics and data exploration products

REQUIREMENTS

Must have(s)...

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a life science, quantitative or business discipline (natural sciences, business administration, information systems, computer science, engineering, statistics, data science or related field) and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Work experience in life sciences, likely as a consultant at the Big Three or in a life sciences-focused firm, OR Work experience as a business analyst on a data science team, technology consultant, or business analyst for analytics software

  • Demonstrated experience performing qualitative and quantitative market research

  • Demonstrated creative problem solving, analytical and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with analytics concepts such as databases, programming, statistical modeling, machine learning, data visualization

Nice to have(s) but not required…

  • Enjoys playing with data in SQL and/or other programming languages (e.g. SAS, Python or R)

  • Familiarity with Agile software development principles

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Asana, Google/Office Suite
